Ronaldinho certainly loves a night out

Ronaldinho brought the Brazilian samba to the pitch in a way very few players came close to replicating.

The iconic Brazil and Barcelona legend is the reason why millions of football lovers all around the world fell in love with the beautiful game. Whether it was his jaw-dropping long shots, his magical skills, his famous beaming smile, or his celebration dances, it was impossible to not be hypnotised by his all-round game.

However, Ronaldinho’s love of dancing and partying was so strong, he even insisted on having a ‘nightclub clause’ inserted into his contract, so he would be allowed to party on the regular. Incredibly, one of his final clubs Flamengo were so captivated by his brilliance, they accepted his partying request.

The Ballon d’Or winner returned to his homeland Brazil after a three-year stint with AC Milan. He contributed 26 goals and 29 assists in 95 appearances for the Rossoneri.

However, many Serie A supporters will also remember Ronaldinho’s love of the Italian nightlife during his stay at the San Siro. And reports from beIN Sports claim Flamengo allowed him to party for two nights a week during his short stint with the Brazilian giants.

The World Cup winner only spent one season with Flamengo, before joining Atletico Mineiro the following season. Ronaldinho’s passion for late night clubbing sessions did not begin with the Rio de Janeiro giants.

His passion for partying can be traced back to the very early years of his football career. Former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Jerome Leroy claimed he rarely attended training.

"Ronaldinho didn't train any day of the week and would just turn up on a Friday for the game on Saturday," Leroy claimed.

"I think he was trying to follow in the steps of Romario, who would also go out every night, but he didn't have the same success." He didn't do too badly, let's be honest Leroy!
