Mauro Icardi brands Wanda Nara 'toxic' and accuses her of 'trying to control his life'

The latest twist in the controversial relationship of Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara has seen the PSG striker share their private messages where he called his wife toxic and controlling

Mauro Icardi has labelled his wife of eight years Wanda Nara "toxic" and accused her of trying to control his life.

Wanda, 35, dropped the bombshell that her rollercoaster of a relationship had ended last week. That was after Icardi, 29, had previously denied they'd broken up on social media.

But he's now spoken out too with some shocking posts of his own. The PSG striker, who's currently on loan to Turkish side Galatasaray, uploaded private messages between him and Wanda to Instagram.

According to Marca, the Spanish texts show Wanda asking Icardi where he is and if he's alone. She's been living away from him in Argentina in recent months due to her TV commitments.

Icardi responded by saying he's alone and he doesn't have to give her explanations, then told her "you left me". He went on to ask: "Now you want to manage my life separately too?"

Wanda questioned "why are you a liar", adding "married and single". "We are equal," replied Icardi, before he later messaged "how toxic".

Icardi shared their private messages on social media

Icardi shared the screenshot to his 8.3million Instagram followers with the caption: "When you are single, or you say you are, but you are toxic."

He deleted it later on but did then post a picture of him blowing a kiss to the camera, tagging Wanda and adding a heart and kissing emojis.

The pair have been married for over eight years

Wanda has appeared to have ignored her husband for the time being. She'd originally revealed they were splitting when she replied to a fan who asked how long she'd been married to Icardi in the past tense.

Questions from her fans then rained in about her marriage status, forcing her to address the situation with a statement. She wrote: "It is very painful for me to live this moment.

"But given my exposure and the things that are transcending and the media speculation, it is preferable that they know about it from me.

"I have nothing more to clarify and I am not going to give any kind of detail about this separation. Please, I ask that you understand not only for me, but also for our children."
