FOOTBALLER Gerard Pique and pop star Shakira were seen leaving a renowned law firm in Barcelona, as the couple look to finalise their split.

According to El Periodico and the 'Mamarazzis', the pair met with their lawyers last Thursday to try and reach an agreement on their separation and the custody of children, Sasha and Milan.

They were spotted leaving the building separately as fans waited outside to greet them.

The report says one aspect to resolve is Shakira's wish to live in Miami with their kids.

Shakira, 45, and Pique, 35, have hired the country's leading divorce lawyers, Pilar Mane and Ramon Tamborero, as they seek some sort of resolution.

Pique reportedly previously blocked Shakira's attempts to take the children to Florida for two months back in June, according to Televisión Española's journalist Laura Fa.

It was believed the World Cup winner hadn't signed an agreement to allow their kids to leave Spain.

However, weeks later Shakira was seen flanked by her boys arriving at Miami International Airport.

The pair split in June, with the Colombian singer confirming a separation by releasing a statement.

It read: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways.

"For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy.

"Thank you for your understanding."

It was alleged by the Spanish media that Pique cheated on Shakira, although that has never been confirmed.

But months after they went their separate ways, the ex-Man Utd star went public with his new relationship with student Clara Chia Marti - and was seen kissing her at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia.

Meanwhile, Shakira is said to face up to eight years in jail if she is found guilty of an alleged £12million tax fraud.

She has been accused of defrauding the Spanish treasury from 2012-2014.
