Liverpool view Southampton defender Bella-Kotchap as potential van Dijk successor

Liverpool are spying a move for Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap, according to reports.
The 20-year-old has earned his first call-up to the Germany senior squad after an impressive start to life at Southampton, having moved from Vfl Bochum this summer.
Bella-Kotchap's performances have caught the eye of a number of big clubs, including Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp is an 'admirer' of the physical defender and sees him as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, according to reports in Spain, via Sport Witness.
Joe Gomez's poor form and an injury to Ibrahima Konate has opened the door for Klopp to sign a new centre-back.
However, it is believed the Reds are only monitoring Bella-Kotchap's development and not preparing a bid for his signature.
