Xavi: Bayern Munich face a much better Barcelona now

Barcelona coach Xavi says they face Bayern Munich full of confidence.

Barca have struggled against German teams in recent seasons.

But ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash, Xavi said: "There are a lot of expectations, but tomorrow's game doesn't change anything at all, whether we win, draw or lose, no conclusions can be drawn.

"It's a challenge to win here, we haven't done it, nine months have passed since the last time and everything looks different, we arrive at a much better time, we have been working together for nine or ten months, we have improved in many aspects and we feel capable of competing. We have the feelings, the hope and the challenge that we can finally win and change history and the dynamic."

Xavi also said, "We play against one of the best teams in the world. They beat us comfortably, but we have changed, we are in a great moment of form and we want to show it.

"It will be an even game, we both want the ball, press high, want the ball back as soon as possible, we suffer without it, we leave space behind us. It will be an intense game and there will be a big battle for the ball."
