GLUM Thomas Tuchel has been pictured for the first time since he was sacked as Chelsea manager as his former players arrived for training.

The German was dismissed as Blues boss on Wednesday morning despite pleading with the new owners for more time.

And the 49-year-old took a stroll in the miserable weather on Thursday.

Tuchel - who will get a £13million compensation pay-off package - wore a black jacket and black jogging bottoms which were tucked into his white Nike socks.

He completed the look with Nike running trainers and a beanie hat.

Tuchel's replacement is set to be confirmed in the coming hours with Graham Potter on course to sign a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The Brighton boss has had two rounds of discussions with the new Chelsea hierarchy yesterday and today, verbally agreeing to take the job.

He was filmed arriving at the Seagulls' training ground, probably for the final time, earlier today to say his goodbyes to the Brighton staff and players as his press conference was cancelled.

The former Macclesfield left-back, 47, was expected back at Chelsea's Cobham training ground this afternoon.

However, it has been assistant coach Anthony Barry taking training in the absence of a manager with the players back in today to continue preparations for facing Fulham on Saturday.

Potter wants to bring three members of his backroom staff with him to West London - including his own transfer guru.

He wants recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay as well as assistant coaches Billy Reid and Bjorn Hamburg on his team having worked with the trio at Ostersunds, Swansea and Brighton.

Chelsea hope to have Potter in the dugout for Saturday's West London derby.
