Real Madrid set for break from air-travel
LaLiga Santander calendar has given Los Blancos 50 days without travel

The game against Real Betis on Saturday is the last game Real Madrid, and the rest of the teams in European competition, will face before the calendar turns upside down and the frenetic schedule of matches that will accompany them until the World Cup, begins.
Within the frantic competitive framework they are about to enter, Carlo Ancelotti has found a small 'ally' in the form of the calendar. It is going to provide respite that refers to traveling to away matches, which is notoriously difficult for clubs to manage.
After the match in Barcelona against Espanyol, they will have 50 days without travelling in LaLiga Santander, until 19 October, when they will face Elche away.
Until then, they will play six matches without leaving Madrid. They will play at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu against Real Betis, Real Mallorca, Osasuna and Barcelona; and away against nearby Atletico Madrid and Getafe.
A bonus for rest
After Elche, Ancelotti's team will play four more league games without leaving Madrid, with games at home against Sevilla, Girona and Cadiz; and away against Rayo Vallecano. In total, of the next 11 league games, only the game against Elche will require Real Madrid to travel out of the Spanish capital before the World Cup break.
Including the Champions League, there will be four trips (Glasgow, Warsaw, Elche and Berlin) in the next 17 games. In other words, there will only be four trips in the next 72 days. In fact, between the trip to Glasgow and the next one to Warsaw, there will be 34 days without leaving Madrid.
