A bloke somehow got into Anfield wearing these ... madness!

Wearing any old sliders to a football match is bold (imagine the half-time toilets), but wearing a pair with Manchester United's logo on them to a Liverpool match is even riskier.

The unnamed fan was spotted on the steps of Anfield's Main Stand ahead of Liverpool's draw with Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The Reds supporter who snapped a photo of him tweeted: "Seen some horrible sights in my time going to the match but last night beats the lot," sparking a heck of a reaction online.

"No words. All the while loads of genuine fans miss out on tickets," one user responded. Another fumed: "Disgraceful this. Should be ejected. The games gone."

Others however saw the funny side. "This explains Liverpool's lack of atmosphere," one fan joked, while another wrote: "Classic glory hunter. 'Flip flopping' between Man United and Liverpool."

"Imagine if this happened at Celtic with a fan wearing Rangers sliders … he'd be literally ripped to shreds haha!"

Should tickets be reserved for fans over tourists? Let us know what you reckon in the comments section below.

Liverpool fans couldn't believe what they were seeing

The silly-slippered fan got decent bang for his buck as Liverpool were held by Palace in a dramatic contest that ended 1-1. Wilfried Zaha gave the visitors the lead in the first half before Reds striker Darwin Nunez got himself sent off for headbutting Palace defender Joachim Andersen.
