Udinese ranked 13th in the Serie A last season. They have been ranking in the middle of the table of the Premier League in successive seasons.
Udinese are no longer in contention for European qualification, and the club's pursuit of achievement does not seem to be too big as they have no strong signings.

Although Chelsea are not good in form, they are still stronger than Udinese. Moreover, Chelsea had just suffered a heavy defeat and needed a big win to bounce back, so they are motivated.
