Former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand confirmed the devastating news that she has lost her unborn second child with her husband Rio just 12 weeks into her previously unannounced pregnancy
Kate Ferdinand has confirmed she has lost her unborn second child with husband Rio Ferdinand just 12 weeks into her pregnancy.
The former TOWIE star, 31, shared the devastating news with her loyal legion of fans online, many of whom were completely unaware the star was pregnant.
In a short post on Wednesday (July 26), the mum-of-one shared a black and white snap of herself with her feet up on a hospital bed as she donned a medical gown.
She explained to her 1.4million followers how she was admitted to hospital after a routine scan failed to detect her baby's heartbeat.

In the emotional post, Kate - who shares 20-month-old son Cree with the Manchester united and England footballer Rio - opened up about difficult the last 24 hours has been for them.
She wrote: "The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because out baby had no heartbeat in our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery.
"We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn't wait to see our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn't go as we plan.
"So much to say, but somehow I can't find the words. Absolutely devastated & heartbroken ...but couldn't be more grateful for the hugs I got from my big(er) babies coming through the door when we arrived home."

After she shared the heartbreaking post, her famous friends and adoring fans flooded to her comments section to send they condolences following her sudden miscarriage.
Fellow TOWIE star Sam Faiers penned: "This is heartbreaking sending you lots of love and strength [crying emoji]" which she signed off with a kiss.
Georgia Kousoulou added: "So sorry Kate with a red love heart emoji as Lottie Tomlinson chimed in with: "So sorry" with a crying emoji and three red love heart emojis.

Rio and Kate officially tied the knot back in 2019 during a beautiful beach ceremony in Marmaris, Turkey after three years of dating.
After the happy couple made things official, the former reality star became the stepmum of Rio's three Lorenz, 16, Tate, 13, and Tia, 11, who he welcomed with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.
In December 2020, Kate and Rio welcomed their first child together, Cree, but his birth wasn't without complications after the star was rushed in for an emergency C-section.
