7M Exclusive - Tottenham interested in McKennie

The Daily Mail says Tottenham are interested in signing Juve midfielder McKennie, but their hopes may be dashed after Paul Pogba's injury. Juventus are willing to sell McKennie for 40m Euros and may decide to delay any transfer talks until Pogba is fit. Tottenham have had success with the signings of Bentancur and Kulusevski, and McKennie has also become a target.
While the 23-year-old is a key player and one of the most reliable midfielders, Juventus admit his price has risen almost threefold and the club will approve his sale if the right offer comes in. Paratici and coach Antonio Conte have already signed Bentancur and Kulusevski from Juve, both of whom have been successful, and McKennie has become a target, capable of playing midfield tactics, as well as defending right-back and possibly even being one of the three central defenders.
However, the situation has been complicated by Pogba's meniscus problem in his right knee and Juve, who see selling McKennie as the best way to raise funds or bring in Zaniolo, may decide to delay any transfer talks until Pogba is fit.
After receiving the backing of coach Allegri this summer, McKennie said: "What Allegri said was very important to me. It's important for a player to be in a place where you feel wanted, where they need you."
