Robert Lewandowski makes Barcelona debut vs. Real Madrid in Las Vegas Clasico

LAS VEGAS - Three days after being announced as Barcelona's latest signing, striker Robert Lewandowski made his debut on Saturday night, in of all games a Clasico against rivals Real Madrid at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Lewandowski, who signed with his new club on Tuesday, started and played the first half of Barcelona's 1-0 win. It didn't take him long to show what he's capable of.
In the 11th minute, Lewandowski made a run down the right side and fired a shot at Real Madrid keeper Thibaut Courtois who made the save. Lewandowski was credited with four shots but didn't convert on any.
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, who called his striker's addition an "unbelievable signing," was impressed with his newest tool.
"Today, he controlled the ball and when Madrid pressed high, he understood really well it was his moment to control and play for the for the attacking midfielders or for the defensive midfielder," Xavi said. "He went deep many times, so we are talking about top player in the world."
Barcelona continues its United States tour on Tuesday against Juventus at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
