7M Exclusive - Arsenal confident of Lucas Paqueta signing

According to British reporter Ben Jacobs, Arsenal, Newcastle and AS Roma are interested in Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta. Lyon priced at £55m (€65m) for the player.
The report stated that Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas no longer insists on the price tag of up to 70 million pounds for the player in January this year. The club are open to selling Paqueta this summer. As long as a satisfactory offer is received, they will not enter the bidding warfare.
As for Arsenal, the team is confident that it can persuade Paqueta to join. Director Edu believes that Lyon's asking price is inflated, and they do not want to get into a bidding war.
Ben Jacobs revealed that under the current circumstances, the Brazilian is only one of the many options of Arsenal and Newcastle, and the two teams have not yet made an offer to Lyon. Paqueta himself is seeking a new challenge to land in the Premier League.
