VIRGIL VAN DIJK and Kevin de Bruyne put their club rivalries aside to enjoy a dance party in Ibiza.

The Liverpool defender, 30, and Man City playmaker, 31, were spotted at beachfront resort Ushuaia enjoying a DJ set by Calvin Harris on the Balearic Islands.

And the pair appeared deep in chat as they danced along to the music together.

Afterwards, van Dijk and de Bruyne couldn't help but get starstruck when they met the Scottish hitmaker.

They posed for a snap together with the superstar producer, 38, all smiles alongside the football heroes.

Harris is a Liverpool fan and was even seen DJing on the Reds' open-top bus tour after the end of the season in May.

Van Dijk and De Bruyne went up against one another in domestic and European football last season with their clubs.

De Bruyne's City narrowly won the Premier League by a point on the final day of the season.

However, Van Dijk didn't end up empty-handed - scooping both domestic cups.

He was left empty-handed in the Champions League, as Liverpool crashed to defeat to Real Madrid.

Individually, though, both footballers scored success - getting named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Despite the fact they're rivals on the pitch, off it they are best pals.

De Bruyne revealed all about his friendly relationship with van Dijk before the pair played against each other at the Etihad.

The Belgian said: "I know Virgil… me and Virgil see each other a lot.

"Our children go to the same school and they like to play together, so it was just a friendly chat."

The two will face off against each other for the Community Shield on July 30.
