At the height of his powers, Hernan Crespo was one of the most clinical strikers in all of Europe - but the former Chelsea man wasn't just content with scoring on the pitch.
During his illustrious career, the Argentine superstar - who turns 47 on Monday - turned out for the likes of the Blues, Inter Milan and Lazio, notching over 270 goals in 608 career games. After a number of lucrative moves, Crespo had racked up a wedge of money in the early years of his career, and he revealed that his wealth and success on the pitch made him a huge hit with the ladies.
Crespo was single until he met his wife, Alessia Rossi Andra, at the age of 27. And after stepping forward to admit that he'd taken part in an orgy on an Argentinian television show, the former Serie A star lifted the lid on his wild sex-life.
Crespo said: “When I was young I had orgies with many women. “I was single, I was a rich and famous footballer until I was 27. I think it was normal, it's not something I'm proud of, it's just been a life experience.” When he was then asked whether the orgies involved more men or women, the striker said: “Always more women!”
Speaking more about the days before he met his wife, Crespo revealed he stopped pursuing women the second he met his wife - and that he wouldn't have it any other way. He told Esporte: "The truth is that when I first met my wife, I stopped. Today I do not miss it and I'm happy to what I have and my family."

He added: "I made my debut in football at the age of 18, I met my wife at 27 and I never showed up with a girlfriend at home until my wife, so I was always single until that age."
During his playing days, Crespo won over 60 caps for Argentina and became a cult hero at Stamford Bridge during his two-year spell with Chelsea. Crespo won the Premier League title during his time in England and is also a three-time Scudetto winner.

Since bringing the curtain down on his storied career, Crespo has been a busy man. After hanging up his boots at his former club, Parma, the ex-striker embarked on a managerial career - although he has struggled to find success.
He did manage to buck the trend in one of his most recent roles though, as he guided Brazilian outfit Sao Paolo to the Brazilian title back in 2021. However, he left the club just five months later after a poor start to the new season. Nowadays, Crespo can be found in Qatar, where he is the manager of Al-Duhail Sports Club.
