A lucky holidaymaker bumped into Liverpool midfielder Fabinho while catching some sunshine in Majorca - describing him as "very humble."

When Customs Officer Brenden Ryan touched down in the Spanish Balearic Islands with his girlfriend, it certainly did not cross his mind he would meet Fabinho or even have a kick-about with the Reds star. Ryan was enjoying an afternoon sunbathe on the beach when to his surprise, he spotted the Brazilian with his wife.

"I was lying down and when I got up for a swim, I noticed they were lying down on the sunbeds behind me. I went over and asked him if he didn't mind taking a photo with me," Ryan told SPORTbible.

The following day, the holidaymaker was fortunate to spend time with Fabinho after waiting outside his hotel room. The pair then organised a cheeky kickabout on the beach.

"I asked if he didn't mind doing a few kick-ups with me later on in the day and he said no, not at all," Ryan said. "He was a great guy, very humble and easy to speak to. We played football a couple of times throughout the day and spoke about his football career and just life in general."

Ryan who received a follow from the Reds star on Instagram, later took to his story to post a video of them playing together. It read: "Unexpected day, thank you Fabinho."

Fabinho responded by reposting the video on his Instagram story, making the 32-year-old's holiday. He described his time away as "one to remember" after meeting the midfielder.

The Brazilian will report back to pre-season training on July 4 before their trip to Thailand ahead of their friendly games. Their first fixture will be against Manchester United on Tuesday, July 12 before facing Crystal Palace, four days later in Singapore.
