Jessica Pegula is to inherit almost £5billion from her father, the 434th richest person in the world, and with it she could buy Arsenal, build the Burj Khalifa, and still have some for a rainy day

Jessica Pegula will kick-start her Wimbledon campaign on Wednesday afternoon as she hopes to better her best-ever performance at SW19.

However, if she bows out against Croatian talent Donna Vekic, it won't be the end of the world for the American. Pegula stands in line to inherit an eye-watering £4.7billion earned by her father Terrence, currently the 434th richest person in the world.

In fact, Pegula will be so rich she will be able to purchase Arsenal from Stan Kroenke, build a new Burj Khalifa, and still have a couple of quid left over for this tennis hobby of hers.

Let's start with Arsenal, American billionaire Kroenke currently owns the Gunners alongside a plethora of American franchises, such as Super Bowl winners the Los Angeles Rams.

Pegula is no stranger to American sports too, and her family currently owns NHL side the Buffalo Sabres and other Buffalo-based sports outfits the Beauts and the Bandits.

And should Pegula turn her eyes to the UK, Arsenal are currently valued at £2.3billion, according to Sportsbrief.

Incredibly, in our fictional world where Pegula has purchased Arsenal, she would still have enough to build the Burj Khalifa.

Standing at a towering 2,717 feet high, the Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building - it took six years to be built with construction starting in 2004, and not finishing until 2010. It cost a staggering £1.5billion, according to the Telegraph, or a splash in the ocean for Pegula.

So with her two new purchases, Pegula will have splashed £3.8billion.

With still £900million in her vast fortune to play with Pegula could use the money to fund her tennis career - or Arsenal fans could have the summer of their wildest dreams.

Pegula betting on herself wouldn't be a bad idea, with the American already achieving some eye-catching results this season.

The American will be looking to continue her streak of reaching quarter-finals in 2022 - following on from her form at the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
