Chelsea have been in contact with Koulibaly's agent in London over the past few hours. The Blues continue their search for a suitable defender in the transfer market.
Chelsea have made bringing in defenders a priority in this summer transfer market, with Serie A becoming the main ground for the Blues to strengthen their backline.
Previously, Chelsea has shown interest in Juve's Matthijs de Ligt and Inter's Milan Skriniar. However, both defenders were too expensive and Chelsea turned to other transfer targets.
Since Koulibaly's contract with Napoli expires in just one year, his price tag would be lower.
