According to Calciomercato, Chelsea want to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, and Timo Werner may be included in the deal.
Chelsea and Juventus are discussing the deal for de Ligt, and Juventus told the other party that the release clause in the defender's contract is around 120-125 million. The Blues asked if Juve could add other players to their contracts to reduce the cash outlay. The Italian club are interested in Timo Werner as he is a young player who could serve as Dusan Vlahovic's rotation.
However, the signing of Werner is complicated, the German striker's annual salary is 10 million euros. And Chelsea's price tag for Werner is high. In fact, Juventus valued de Ligt at 120 million euros and Chelsea valued Werner at 60 million euros. The talks were productive, with Juve willing to accept players as bargaining chips, but the parties eventually had to negotiate again.
