BARCELONA will have to cough up £40million for Leeds' Raphinha after the Premier League side survived relegation, according to reports.

Jesse Marsch's team pulled off a dramatic final day rescue job to lift themselves out of the bottom three at the expense of Burnley.

Raphinha has proved crucial to Leeds since his £17m signing from Rennes in 2020

Prized asset Raphinha scored a second-half penalty to help the Yorkshire club on their way.

The result means that Barcelona now may need to pay more to land the Brazilian winger, according to Sport.

Had Leeds been relegated, a release clause in Raphinha's contract could have seen him go for as little as £21m.

But now it is believed Barcelona will have to pay £40m to land their man.

Even with the increased price, Sport report that Barca manager Xavi has been given the green light to land Raphinha.

They also report that the 25-year-old has agreed to come.

The move would be a blow for Leeds, with the pacy attacker one of their most potent weapons.

He hit 11 goals and three assists for the club last season as they found a way to escape relegation right at the death.

The Whites have already been busy in the transfer window and could have a ready-made replacement for Raphinha already.

American attacking midfielder Brenden Aaronson made the move from Red Bull Salzburg earlier this week for £25m.
