Versions continue to be contradictory in the case of the possible incorporation of Argentine star Lionel Messi to David Beckham's Inter Miami in MLS from 2023, when the current PSG player finishes contract with the team from the French capital.
The initial report by Alex Candal of DIRECTV Sports had reported that Messi would have agreed to acquire 35% of the shares of Beckham's team and that he would join South Florida in 2023, however, this version has been denied by Le Perisien, who quoted a source close to the former player, part of the former Barcelona player's representation group who would have said the following.

The version of Lionel Messi's representatives
"It is completely false. Leo has not yet decided his future. And if Messi has crossed paths in recent hours with David Beckham it is only in the context of PSG's stay in Doha where the former England midfielder plays an ambassadorial role for the next World Cup in Qatar," revealed the agents of the former Barcelona player.
It is known that Miami is a destination that the "Pulga" is very fond of, who usually goes to this world resort and has been seen in South Beach enjoying the sun with his family on rare occasions that he has the opportunity to take a vacation.
What is Messi's relationship with Miami?
Inter Miami, meanwhile, is desperate to bring in someone of Messi's caliber to combat a negative narrative about this club that is one of the newest in MLS but has never been able to reach the postseason because, at the time of this writing, it has only won 19 of the 57 games it has played since joining the competition in the 2020 season.
