LIONEL MESSI jetted off to Barcelona on holiday as he enjoyed a break with his wife Antonela.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward returned to where he spent almost his entire career and caught up with a familiar face in the process.

Antonela shared a few pictures of their trip away and in one of them was Messi's ex-Barcelona team-mate Sergio Busquets, as they enjoyed a bite at Luis Suarez's beachside restaurant, Chalito.
She wrote: "How much we have wanted to go to Chalito... and with friends we love very much."
Messi and Busquets spent 13 years alongside one another in the Barcelona first team.
And they have clearly remained friends despite the Argentine's move to PSG.
Suarez, who has since been sold to Atletico Madrid, could not make the reunion.
And the Uruguayan's wife Sofi Balbi was gutted they missed out, commenting: "I would die to be there. How beautiful and happy you look. I love you all."
Messi flew to Spain just a few days after PSG's 3-3 draw with Strasbourg.
Mauricio Pochettino's men have already regained the Ligue 1 title they relinquished to Lille last season.
But they were pegged back late on by European-chasing Strasbourg as their 3-1 lead was wiped out inside the final 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, it has been a difficult campaign for Messi in front of goal.
He has scored just nine goals in 31 appearances for the French giants, although he has been occupying a deeper role to accommodate fellow stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Messi does look set to stay at PSG for at least another season.
The club are preparing for the departure of Mbappe as he prepares to join Real Madrid.
A new manager also appears likely, with rumours circulating about Pochettino's imminent sacking.
The leading candidates to replace him include Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, ex-Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane, and World Cup winner Joachim Low.
