Reynolds has joked he's learning CPR
Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds has joked he's teaching himself CPR to perform on himself as Wrexham's promotion push looks set to go down to the wire.
Wrexham's 1-0 win over Southend United sent them one point off table-toppers Stockport, who have a game in hand. However, Stockport still have to travel to Wales in a week's time for a crunch clash.
Reynolds fellow chairman Rob McElhenney tweeted: Well, Mr. Chairman this is getting quite interesting." And Reynolds replied to the tweet: "Indeed, Mr. Chairman. It’s gonna be a wild couple of weeks. I’m learning how to do CPR on myself."
Only two teams move up to League Two from the National League, and only one of those spots is automatic.
If Wrexham fail to overcome Stockport, they then face a lottery against five other sides in the playoffs. Their playoff spot is confirmed - with eighth-placed Dagenham & Redbridge 15 points adrift of the Welsh side.
Wrexham are looking to end a 14-year exile from the Football League.
Reynolds has already joked about what the club are doing to his heart after their 6-5 victory against Dover last month.
"I just lost 9 years off my life. And I'm okay with that. Apologies to my family. Also, bury me in Wales," he said after the thriller.
