List of ‘key points’ to keep Antonio Conte at Tottenham and away from PSG this summer revealed

Antonio Conte will demand Tottenham splash out on new players and retain their ‘important players’, including Harry Kane, if he is to commit his future to the club this summer.

That is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The Spurs boss has been heavily linked with PSG but has already described it as ‘fake news’. Romano also insists that the rumours are not coming from the Conte camp.

He insists that the Italian tactician is fully focused on Tottenham for now. Spurs are battling with arch rivals Arsenal to qualify for the Champions League.

Finishing in the top four is the priority for Conte right now. Tottenham sit two points behind the Gunners heading in to Sunday’s home clash with Leicester City.

There are five huge games to come, including what could be the decider against Arsenal. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano is keen to point out that Conte is focused on the top four.

“The rumours are not coming from Antonio Conte’s side, his agents or people that are close to him,” he said. “Antonio Conte is only focusing on Tottenham. He wants to get the Champions League spot because he knows how important it is for Spurs.”

However once the season is done and dusted Conte will have a decision to make. And by the sounds of it much will depend on the ambition shown by the club.

Again a lot will hinge on Tottenham making the top four. The transfer budget will look a lot healthier with Champions League football on the horizon.

But either way Conte will be hoping for many new arrivals. Romano also claims keeping Kane will be crucial to keeping Conte.

“In the summer he will make a decision on his future. And he wants many, many players before saying yes to Tottenham,” Romano added in his update. “So it means new signings, new contracts for important players. It means keeping Harry Kane at the club.

“So there are many key points before Antonio Conte decides to officially stay at Tottenham.”

Conte has one year left on his current deal. And he also confirmed talks will take place in the summer when addressing the media.
