Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has praised former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho allowed McKenna to join his backroom staff at Old Trafford in 2018 after the joining the club as U18 coach from Tottenham. The 35-year-old left United in December last year to take over as the boss of Ipswich Town.
The Tractor Boys sit 10th in League One as they aim to return to the Championship. In an interview with The Times, McKenna was full of praise for the current AS Roma boss.
"He saw something in me, in my work in the academy," McKenna explained. "He put that faith in me.
" Jose was a great manager to work for. He has fantastic qualities.
"I could see why he's been so successful in his career. He's a fantastic communicator across different languages.
"He's a very, very intelligent man, very, very smart. He was a big inspiration to me, he had a real determination to win, had a real love of winning and a real hatred of losing."
