Chelsea have been told that they should go ahead and sign Richarlison this summer from Everton.

That is the verdict from former Manchester United and Toffees star Louis Saha, who believes the Brazilian is unique in his skillset in the Premier League. The former Watford ace was in fine form as Everton beat Saha's old team.

Anthony Gordon was the difference at Goodison Park when United came in desperate search of a win only for the Toffees youngster to score the only goal of the game. His deflected shot left David de Gea with no chance while the visitors had no reply.

It has allowed Frank Lampard to breathe a little easier with Everton staring at relegation this season but that has put them four points clear of Burnley, despite losing to them last week. Nevertheless, the former Chelsea manager might be dealing with a few unhappy players this summer.

The nature of Everton's disastrous campaign is likely to have some players eyeing the exit door and Richarlison is one of them, with plenty of interest already surrounding the Brazil international. Among those monitoring proceedings are Juventus and United.

However, Chelsea were interested a few years ago when he was in South America with Fluminese but a transfer failed to materialise. Instead, Watford picked up the forward in 2017 and he has been a hit in England ever since while Saha reckons the Blues should revive their interest.

Saha told Boyle Sports: "Chelsea would be a great fit for Richarlison, all top sides will be monitoring his situation. I don't see any sides that wouldn't have him. He's a special player and no-one plays the way he plays.

"He's always a danger and I can see any side from the top, Chelsea or Liverpool, wait not Liverpool! Obviously joking. For sure a team in the Premier League will be looking, but I hope Everton manage to keep that kind of player because he's the star."
