Two cheeky female Portuguese fans have gone viral for their cardboard sign directed at Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Manchester United superstar led Portugal onto the field for their playoff qualification clash against North Macedonia with a spot in Qatar on the line. And cameras were quick to catch the two hopeful fans who held a banner that read: "Ronaldo doa-nos o teu."
In English, the banner said: "Ronaldo donate us your..." with a less than subtle hint to what they wanted with a drawing finishing off the sentence. The banner also had both the Portuguese and Brazilian flags in the corner.
Ronaldo was the heart of the game for the Iberian side as Portugal booked their tickets to the World Cup.
The 37-year-old set up his club teammate Bruno Fernandes for the first before Liverpool's Diogo Jota found Fernandes to double the scoreline. Portugal will now be placed in pot one for the draw on Friday afternoon.
North Macedonia will continue their wait for a first World Cup despite claiming the considerable scalp of reigning European Champions Italy in the semi-finals.
Bruno Fernandes fired Portugal to Qatar
At 37, Qatar will likely be Ronaldo's final World Cup and the last chance to claim the one accolade that has eluded him throughout his glistening career.
However, being placed in pot one could see Portugal face a tough draw with both Germany and the Netherlands landing in pot two.
