Former club Lyon are said to be keeping an eye on the situation should they fail to agree on anything.

According to Marca, although Barcelona are keen on signing Cesar Azpilicueta for free this summer, Chelsea have an automatic renewal option.

It's understood the Spanish defender has many clauses in his contract and one of them suggests if he plays 30 games, his deal automatically extends.

However, it's believed Chelsea have made a promise to Azpilicueta that should he want to leave this summer, he won't be stopped.

According to ABC Sevilla, Julen Lopetegui said: "I have transmitted it many times and I have said it. I am where I want to be. I'm happy. Here I can develop my work in the best possible way. I have no doubts.

"My will is firm. I am where I really want to be. The confidence I feel in the club, from day one, is absolute."

Atletico Madrid are aware of Barcelona's interest in Joao Felix but are not open to negotiating any potential departure.

The young attacker's release clause is currently €350m and Diego Simeone has consistently insisted Felix is still a key part of the team.

Atletico look to hold onto Griezmann

Atletico Madrid may extend Antoine Griezmann's loan in order to delay having to pay the €40m optional clause to Barcelona.

Ismael Gharbi: PSG wonderkid earning Premier League interest

Back in August, all cameras at Paris Saint-Germain training were unsurprisingly pointed at one man: Lionel Messi.

The soon-to-be seven-time Ballon d'Or winner was wearing colours other than Barcelona's for the first time in his club career, and not even the slightest movement or piece of skill was going to go uncaptured.

And while that meant almost non-stop Messi updates in the French media ahead of his PSG debut, it also allowed for a touching moment between the Argentine star and one of the many youngsters who call him an idol to be caught on film.

Encouraged by his manager Mauricio Pochettino, a clearly nervous Ismael Gharbi approached Messi, before shaking the legendary figure's hand and sharing a few words ahead of training getting under way.

Barca have 'closed two signings' amid Christensen & Kessie links

Barcelona have "closed two signings" amid transfer links with Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, according to Joan Laporta, who has also revealed that he hopes a swap deal for on-loan Wolves winger Adama Traore can be arranged.

Christensen is fast approaching the final few months of his contract at Chelsea, who are not currently in a position to offer him fresh terms after seeing the assets of club owner Roman Abramovich frozen amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

AC Milan midfielder Kessie is also set to become a free agent this summer, and Barca president Laporta has now hinted that they have already tied up deals for both players.
