ENGLAND ace Phil Foden's family provoked complaints to police for holding a "music festival" with a blaring sound system on Mother's Day.

The young star bought the six-bed, £2.85million pile in a quiet Cheshire village for his parents three years ago.

His club Manchester City have been dubbed the Noisy Neighbours over their rivalry with Man United — but on Sunday, all the racket was coming from his mansion.

Angry neighbours complained of a rave-style party with a DJ. At the time of the bash, Foden, 21, was with the England squad preparing for tonight's friendly against Ivory Coast.

Locals claimed the party kicked off with Whitney Houston ballads before progressing to dance music and an MC set later.

One said: "It was pretty loud and went on for ages — but then it started to get out of hand."

Neighbour Maureen Bye, 81, said: "It was dreadful. All you could hear was the 'boom, boom, boom' of the music. I don't mind a party but not all day.

"It started about midday or 1pm and lasted till just before ten. One of our neighbours went to complain and was told, 'It's not late and it's not loud', and then she was ushered away."

Other residents complained about the event on a community Facebook page.

Charlotte Muncaster said: "Thinking of all my neighbours tonight — Happy Mother's Day. I have been and asked for the music to be turned down. Don't get your hopes up."

Seline Waters added: "Sounds like we are next to a festival. This weekend has been ruined for many and there will be far too many tired children today struggling to wake for school.

"What can we do as a community to stop his anti-social behaviour?"

Cheshire Police confirmed it received a noise complaint at 8.50pm.

It was passed on to the local council, which said it was investigating.

A source close to Foden, who has two children with partner Rebecca, said the star no longer lived at the property and insisted the party did not start until 5pm.

They added: "One neighbour complained about the noise and the music was turned down. The party was over by 9.50pm."

Foden's mum Claire, 41, was last month involved in a fight after her son was verbally abused by a group of other spectators after Kell Brook's win over British boxing rival Amir Khan.
