Erling Haaland is considered to be Barcelona's primary target for the summer, but should the Norway international decide to move to England and join Manchester City, the Blaugrana would reportedly target Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland striker's contract with Bayern Munich ends in the summer of 2023, but they two parties have yet to reach an agreement on a potential contract renewal.
As Sport has reported, Barcelona have set their sights on Lewandowski, monitoring his situation, as the 33-year-old forward may become available in the summer, if talks fall through and Bayern Munich want to avoid losing him on a free transfer the following year.
Meanwhile, potential suitors can sign Haaland by triggering a 75 million euro fee, one which comes into force after the end of the season.
Despite their financial struggles, Barcelona are keen to make a move for the Norway international in the summer, but the Daily Mail has reported that Manchester City have a deal in place with the striker to acquire his services.
Barcelona have already looked for alternatives in the event they miss out on Haaland, having also placed players such as Alexander Isak, Karim Adeyemi and Lautaro Martinez on their radar.
