Atlas fan found child who saved his life in Queretaro by giving him his jersey

The tragedy that occurred at the Corregidora stadium in the Mexican city of Queretaro due to the fight between fans of the Gallos and Atlas teams has also left emotional stories, such as that of a child who gave his shirt to a fan of the rival team to save his life.

Martín Castellanos Villalobos is one of the Atlas fans who traveled to Queretaro to attend the Liga MX match and was caught up in the brutal fight that broke out between the two sides during the second half of the game.

When he was desperate to get out of the stadium and get to safety with his girlfriend, Castellanos was helped by a boy named Adolfo, who gave him a Queretaro T-shirt so he could leave, and his parents accompanied them to their car.

Atlas fan searched for his rescuer on social networks

Once away from the site of the tragedy, Castellanos used social media to look for the boy and thank him for giving him his shirt and thus preventing other fans of the Gallos team from attacking him.

"I want to send this message to the hero child who gave me his shirt when he saw in our face the desperation of saving our lives, and his parents who were the ones who supported us until the last minute by taking us out of the stadium in their truck. There are no words to thank them for saving my life," the Queretaro fan wrote.

Castellanos thanked little Adolfo

To his good fortune, and thanks to the enormous diffusion his social media post reached, Castellanos found Adolfo and thanked him for the heroic support he gave him in the midst of a dramatic episode.

"The goal of my publication was accomplished! To locate that hero called ADOLFO who saved my life by giving me his t-shirt, along with his family who managed to get my girlfriend and me out alive. I repeat, we will be eternally grateful to ADOLFO and his parents for their humane gesture," Castellanos wrote in a second Facebook post.
