Barcelona are watching Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Barca are one of the clubs following Wirtz.

In fact, in an interview around a month ago with BILD, the player declared that when he was little he "always wanted to play for Barcelona. That has not changed, but I still have time until that could arrive".

Bayer are unlikely to let the talented 18-year-old leave this summer after recently extending his contract until 2026. Reports in Germany say an exit would not be possible before 2023.
