Footage Emerges Of Borussia Dortmund Fans Congratulating Rangers Supporters At Bottom Of Stairs

Wholesome footage has emerged of two Borussia Dortmund fans congratulating the travelling Rangers support after last week's Europa League tie in Germany.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side pulled off an almighty upset at the Westfalenstadion as goals from James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos, John Lundstram and Dan-Axel Zagadou [OG] gave the Scottish Premiership side a memorable 4-2 victory.

It was a hugely disappointing night for Dortmund and their fans but in a classy sign of respect, a couple of BVB supporters waited at the bottom of the stairs to greet their opposition fans at full-time. This is what football is all about.

Plenty on social media praised those involved. "Fair play," said one Twitter user. "I wouldn't have the effort to even watch game back never mind have a heart to heart with the opponent fans straight after."

A Spurs supporter wrote: "Dortmund fans shook mine and my dad's hand when we played them in the Europe League at White Hart Lane in 2016, top fanbase."

A third wrote: "The German fans are fantastic. BVB fans were the same last time they came to Ibrox. Leverkusen fans were also superb when they played us a couple of years ago. They're passionate and respectful at the same time."

Dortmund will be hoping to complete a historic comeback in tonight's clash at Ibrox.

Someone who is looking forward to the Europe League clash is teenage midfielder Jude Bellingham, who labelled Rangers' home as "one of the best stadiums in Europe."

Speaking to BT Sport after last week's defeat, he said: "The second half I realise that we're going for it a little bit, but still we can't be that open and we can't allow them kind of chances.

"But you know there's a bit of hope because we have the second leg and there's not one person in that changing room that's gonna give up and I won't let them.

"We're gonna go there and give everything. We know how hard it's gonna be.

"For me personally, I can't wait to play at Ibrox. It's one of the best stadiums in Europe, in my opinion, when it's packed on a European night. So, you know, bring it on."
