Thomas Muller And His Wife Criticised For Selling Horse Semen

After a week of writing about Kurt Zouma abusing his cat I somehow didn't think it could get much stranger, but now the story of Thomas Muller selling horse semen has fallen at my fingertips.

Zouma has been rightly criticised by most people in the past six days, after the video of him kicking and slapping his cat went viral on social media, with even Michael Bisping joining in.

Things went a little weird when Chris Kirkland suggested it was worse than racism, something that understandably Michail Antonio wasn't happy with.

However, Zouma isn't the only footballer who has been criticised for animal abuse, with Bayern Munich forward Muller coming in for criticism from animal rights organisation PETA.

Muller, and his wife Lisa, a champion dressage rider, own a horse farm and the player recently revealed one of the horses was injured, saying, "Sadly we have bad news. Our favourite D'Avie will not be available in the next months.

"Unfortunately he slipped during a test attempt to prepare for the breeding season, and dramatically fell on his side.

"He suffered an injury in the hoof area, and will need to rest completely for the next few months.

"He's a tough lad, and it could have been worse."

According to reports, the horses are used as studs and the pair sell frozen horse semen for €200 a time, in case you've ever wondered how much that sells for.

The couple have now been condemned by PETA for their practices, claiming that the injuries that happened were 'avoidable' and saying the horse was being forced into 'unnatural sex acts.'

"It is awful that self-styled horse lovers force the animals in their care into unnatural sex acts in order to make the maximum profit from them," Jana Hoger, a spokesman for the group, said.

"The injuries that D'Avie suffered under Lisa and Thomas Muller's supervision were avoidable and unnecessary."

Despite the statement by PETA, there is no proof that the Germany international or his wife are actually guilty of any wrongdoing.

If there was then we'd love to know what Graeme Souness would have to say about it.
