Pochettino wants to reunite with Harry Kane at Manchester United
The Argentine coach continues to be linked with Old Trafford vacancy

Manchester United's pursuit of a new permanent coach is continuing, despite Ralf Rangnick refusing to rule himself out of the position on a longer-term basis, and Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be one of the favourites, with it likely he will seek to reunite with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane at Old Trafford.
It's become clear in recent weeks that Manchester United's attacking department isn't as strong as first thought, with Cristiano Ronaldo looking very much a 37-year-old and Edinson Cavani set to leave the club in the summer.
Furthermore, the legal situation involving Mason Greenwood, in which the player has been arrested on suspicion of rape, GBH, sexual assault and making threats to kill, has left United unexpectedly light in attack.
Whilst a very miniscule problem in the grand scheme of things when considering the acts Greenwood has been accused of, United do now need to replenish their forward line in the summer.
Pochettino is positioning himself for the Old Trafford hot seat, with it clear his happiness at PSG isn't where he expected it to be when he took the job.
Should the Argentine arrive at United, he would be able to immediately offer a personal connection to a forward that, on paper at least, would solve United's attacking problems.
Harry Kane to Manchester United?
In an exclusive published by the Telegraph, there is a suggestion that Pochettino will push hard for United to sign Kane should he become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's replacement as permanent coach.
Kane himself had looked to push for a move to Manchester City last summer, with Spurs rejecting offers worth around £130 million, although you'd imagine it would be no easier to sign him this summer.
In addition to this, United don't have a huge transfer budget in the summer and with so many areas of need, especially in midfield, it may seem foolish to some that the club may seek to spend so much on a forward who will be 29 in July.
