Antonio Conte's Tottenham could be waiting for quite a while to receive their £10million windfall from Dele Alli as he edges closer to a move to Everton on Deadline Day
Tottenham could be waiting for a while to receive their initial £10million from Everton as part of the Dele Alli deal.
Dele Alli looks finally set to leave North London after playing a bit-part role for the Lilywhites over the past couple of years.
And the Englishman looks to have finally got his move away after the two parties agreed to a deal that sees him leave on a free, but Spurs will receive £10million after 20 appearances.
But with Alli cup-tied, and just 18 Premier League games left, Spurs likely won't see that cash until September or October later this year.
Alli looks set to join Everton
However, Everton may face a late challenge for his signature with Newcastle moving for the midfielder.
According to The Athletic Newcastle have made a late charge to sign the 25-year-old on a loan deal.
Newcastle have reportedly turned their attention to the Spurs man after missing out on Jesse Lingard.
Alli has struggled for game time at Spurs
Everton have already had a busy Transfer Deadline Day.
The Toffee's unveiled their new manager, Frank Lampard, who will succeed Rafa Benitez after the Spaniard was sacked earlier this month.
Unite flop Donny van de Beek has also joined the Merseyside club as his Red Devils nightmare comes to an end.
