The Africa Cup of Nations is a tournament filled with passion, but former Ghana star Sulley Muntari, who had two spells in the Premier League, let his emotions get the better of him with one social media post

Former Premier League and Africa Cup of Nations star Sulley Muntari once sat on a Lamborghini and told fans he "doesn't give a f***".

Muntari not only played for both Portsmouth and Sunderland in the English top flight, but also represented Ghana at two AFCON tournaments.

As the 2022 edition has shown so far, those who take part are extremely passionate, with committed tackles flying in and mass brawls breaking out.

And Muntari, who is now retired at the age of 37, was no different - but his emotions often got the better of him.

He was excluded from the 2010 AFCON squad due to disciplinary problems.

And then four years later he was sent home from the World Cup in Brazil and suspended from the Ghana squad altogether.

The midfielder had allegedly slapped Ghanian FA member Moses Armah, who then defended himself by punching back.

"Initially, I didn't want to touch him because he is a player, but I was compelled to defend myself when he slapped my face twice," Armah later revealed.

Muntari uploaded this Instagram post in 2014

The incident cost Muntari his international career which had begun back in 2002 and seen him pick up 84 caps for his country.

But if his Instagram post at the time was anything to go by, he wasn't fussed about his fate.

He posed on his luxury car for a snap and then uploaded it with the caption: "From the bottom of my heart, I don't give a f***."

Muntari, who won the Champions League and two Serie A titles with Inter Milan, was a fan of his super cars.

He built up an impressive garage collection, with the black Lambo he used to express his feelings with not the only one he owned.

In fact, his camouflage-wrapped Aventador hit the headlines soon after his World Cup scandal as he was stopped by Italian police for a 'routine check' when heading to AC Milan training.
