Juventus cruised into the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night by claiming a comfortable 4-1 win over a Sampdoria side without a coach.
The Blucerchiati made the trip to Turin having parted ways with Roberto D'Aversa on Monday after their latest Serie A loss on Saturday came at the hands of Juventus' cross-city rivals Torino, and look to be on the verge of brining Marco Giampaolo back to the club.
But, in the absence of any confirmation, Samp took on Juventus without any new-coach bounce, falling behind to a Juan Cuadrado freekick with 25 minutes played.
Daniele Rugani was a surprising name on the scoresheet as he headed home Juventus' second shortly after the second half got going, before Andrea Conti got his first Samp goal since joining on loan from AC Milan earlier this month to halve the deficit.
Four minutes later, though, Paulo Dybala restored Juve's two-goal cushion and Alvaro Morata rounded out the scoring with a fourth from the penalty spot with under a quarter of an hour to play.
Juventus now join AC Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and Atalanta as the sides to have reached the last eight.
