Mohamed Salah closes in on Thierry Henry Premier League record

Mohamed Salah is enjoying a quite fantastic 2021/22 season with Liverpool, despite the fact his contract has still yet to be extended by Liverpool, however he is focused on beating a Premier League record set by Thierry Henry.
Salah's goal against Chelsea on Sunday was sensational, fooling Edouard Mendy into leaving his near-post open and then delectably chipping the ball into the back of the net through that gap.
However, it was also a goal that brought up an important milestone for the Egyptian as it was his 23rd goal in all competitions this term.
It was his 16th league goal of the current campaign and he also has contributed nine assists, which equates to Salah being directly involved in 25 or more goals in the Premier League for a fifth successive season.
Statistics provided by Opta have revealed that this has only been done before by Henry, who managed to do it in seven successive seasons from 1999 through to 2006.
