David Beckham wears Santa hat while Man Utd legend Evra dances in reindeer outfit as sports stars get into festive mood

SPORTS stars across the world have been embracing the Christmas spirit as the big day approaches.
Manchester United legends David Beckham and Patrice Evra led the way with their very different approaches to the festive season.

Diogo Jota and his family shared a sweet snap of them underneath the tree
Becks, 46, shared a chilly-looking snap of himself clutching a mug of something warm while wearing a Santa hat.
The ex-England captain also shared a picture posing in a Christmas jumper, snazzy glasses alongside a glass of red wine.
Beckham captioned his post: "Very Christmasy over here - coffee & wine ( I promise the wine was yesterday).
"Happy Christmas Eve. Who's more excited me or the kiddies?"
Another former Old Trafford star, Evra, had a slightly different approach to the festive season.
Wearing a Santa-riding-a-reindeer suit, Evra bounced around his home before urging Instagram to 'block my account for having too much fun'.
The Frenchman, 40, captioned his hilarious video: "If you don't believe in Santa you must tell your kid mini black Santa is the real one.
"Rudolph was feeling too dizzy.
"@instagram it's time for you to block my account I'm having too much fun #ilovethisgame #merrychristmas #santa #positive4evra".
The ex-United pair were by no means the only sports stars to share Christmassy posts, though.
Formula One star Valtteri Bottas - who enjoyed his final race for Mercedes earlier this month - shared a snap of him smiling in a black Santa hat to his team's Instagram.
The Finn is preparing for the 2022 season with Alfa Romeo - but before departing Mercedes shared one last snap captioned: "Holiday traditions."
Liverpool's goalscoring sensation Diogo Jota shared a sweet snap of him and his family wearing festive pyjamas cosied up underneath the Christmas tree.
Anfield team-mate Alisson shared a smooch with wife Natalia next to their tree.
Reds ace Andrew Robertson and Arsenal star Kieran Tierney urged followers to 'Check yer bawballs' as part of charity Cahones' bid to combat testicular cancer.
Brazil legend Kaka, 39, posed with 26-year-old model partner Carolina Dias underneath some twinkling lights.
And Wolves ace Raul Jimenez and his family - including his two dogs - all threw on Christmas jumpers for an adorable snap underneath their tree.
SunSport columnist Troy Deeney shared a picture of himself thanking Heinz for the Christmas soup on his Instagram Story, with a burgundy and gold clad tree in the background.
Robert Lewandowski shared a pic of his adorable family in front of the Christmas tree.
And golf star Rory McIlroy posted a snap of himself putting in a shift at the gym to prepare for his festive feast.
Luis Suarez and his family shared a sweet family pic of them wearing their Christmas jumpers next to the tree - featuring some massive stars.
Married WWE stars The Miz and Maryse shared a number of staged Christmas snaps, from an intimate kiss to what looked like the makings of a Christmas food fight.
