Former Portsmouth defender Brian Priske once turned up to a press conference naked following a bet with his Royal Antwerp side centering around Europa League qualification

Former Portsmouth defender, and current Royal Antwerp gaffer, Brian Priske once gave a literal revealing interview when he turned up naked for a press conference.

Earlier this season, Priske had promised to attend a press conference naked if Antwerp made it to the Europa League group stage.

And the 44-year-old stayed true to his word when Antwerp saw off Cypriot side AC Omonia.

"I'm sorry, folks. I made a bet with my players before the game," Priske told reporters when he emerged.

"I told them that if we won, kept a clean sheet and went through, I would give my press conference naked. We did it. That is football, that is life - passion."

Unfortunately for Antwerp, their European adventure didn't see them continue into the knockout rounds.

The Belgian side went into the final matchday, a home tie with Olympiacos, without a win.

However, an early goal from Michel-Ange Balikwisha was enough to secure a famous victory at the Bosuil.

It wasn't enough to lift the Belgian side off the bottom spot, and they exited Europe as a result.

Domestically, Royal Antwerp are on track for another fantastic season as they currently sit third ahead of Belgian football royalty Anderlecht.

However, a bigger story is emerging in the form of RU Saint-Gilloise, who sit on the top table after being promoted to the Jupiler Pro League this season.

Amazingly, Saint-Gilloise are Belgium's third most successful side, but their last title came over 50 years ago.
