LEEDS fans might be finding their form this season difficult to chew.

But that’s nothing compared to food the side serves up to supporters.

A £4.50 burger at Leeds has been mocked by footy fans

The Whites have scored an unenviable own-goal in the catering department with an embarrassing listing on grub comparison page Footy Scran.

The Twitter page has more than 86,500 followers and tells devotees: “The best (and worst) scran you lot get down the football.”

Supporters up and down the land share snaps of their pre-match and half-time nosh online, with some clubs serving up tasty alternatives to pies and burgers in the shape of jerk chicken and rice, and pulled pork in pitta bread.

But Leeds are even lower in the stadium food table than they are in the Premier League.

Three times this month fans have uploaded snaps of their vile-looking burgers to show that the performance of the Elland Road catering staff hasn’t been a one-off dip.

One supporter showed a snap of a charred £4.50 burger, stuffed inside a bun smeared in melted cheese, that appeared to have been used by the teams as a warm-up football.

And a funny response read: “Was it cooked on the surface of the sun?”

Another added: “That isn't a burger, it’s either black pudding or an ice hockey puck.”

One person noted: “Looks like a slice of tarmac.”

Another quipped: “Justified punishment for supporting Leeds.”

Meanwhile, a second Leeds burger was dry and burned, and yet another offering also looked like it was well past its sell-by-date.

However, the price was around £14 cheaper than the double cheeseburger and fries sold by Arsenal bosses to fans - as exclusively revealed by SunSport.
