Ferran Torres sends a signal to Barcelona
Xavi is highly interested in signing the Spanish international

A lack of striking options has hampered Barcelona's push to win LaLiga Santander this season and new coach Xavi hasn't been able to turn things round.
With 17 games played, Barcelona lie down in seventh in the league below the likes of Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis and Real Sociedad, all teams they would expect to beat.
And they have had their eye on Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres to come in and help the team's struggles turn around and the Spaniard has been active on social media increasing the rumours.
Barcelona defender Eric Garcia posted on his Instagram account after the Catalan's 3-2 win against Elche on Saturday and Torres was quick to respond in congratulations.
While some fans thought this was a sign that a deal for Torres was as good as done, it seems more likely that this was simply a friendly interaction between colleagues.
Torres and Garcia were teammates at Manchester City last season before Garcia left the Etihad Stadium in favour of the Nou Camp on a free transfer.
They have also been teammates in the Spanish national team and youth teams where they have enjoyed much success together.
Signing Torres could prove to be tough for Barcelona though with his contract at City running until 2025 and a reported 70 million euro asking price almost certainly ruling out a move with the financial damage still in the process of being repaired.
Until the finances of Barcelona are stable again, Xavi may have to rely on the club's famously productive academy to produce a star striker who can help Barcelona return to the heights of European domination.
