Inter Milan are reportedly set to agree a mutual termination of former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen’s contract before next month.
The Danish playmaker has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest during a Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland in June.
Eriksen required emergency treatment from medical staff on the pitch before he was later taken to hospital, where he was fitted with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator).
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) stated that Eriksen must prove his fitness before he would receive the green light to play again.

Francesco Braconaro, a member of the Italian FA's technical-scientific committee, said that Eriksen would have to play without an ICD fitted to pass his examination.
Such terms are set out by the Italian Olympic Committee, and their rules apply to all sports in the country, including football.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter officials have decided to agree to a termination to allow Eriksen to rebuild his career by moving to a league where the intensity is lower.
Eriksen signed for the Serie A champions in January 2020 after making a £17million move from Spurs, ending his seven-year association with the north London club.

He signed a four-year deal with a salary package of around £125,000-a-week, making him one of the highest earners at the club.
But Eriksen’s move to the San Siro did not go quite to plan as he only played a bit-part role in his first season.
However, he made a large contribution to Antonio Conte’s side in their Scudetto-winning campaign in 2020-21, making 26 appearances in the Serie A, scoring four goals.
But it now looks as if the 29-year-old has played his final game for the Nerazzurri, with reports in Italy suggesting the two parties have agreed to release him from his contract.
