Edinson Cavani's future could well be away from Europe as soon as January, with Corinthians one of a number of clubs interested in his signature, with Juventus and Barcelona known to be two others.
Cavani's contract with Manchester United expires in June of 2022, and he has found first-team football opportunities limited this season as a result of Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival and his own international commitments.
The Uruguayan's salary is quite high and given the fact he isn't playing, it doesn't really make any sense for all parties involved for him to stay.
Corinthians were linked with a move for the goalscorer in the summer, as they looked for a marquee name to add to their squad,
In the end, Willian arrived, but there is a sense that the Brazilian club could make a further move if the finances are beneficial.
Juventus are in the market for a goalscoring option in January, especially after Paulo Dybala's injury, and whilst they would like Cavani to return to Italy, his salary is high and Mauro Icardi on loan remains a far more viable option.
Barcelona would be able to sign Cavani as there wouldn't likely be a transfer fee, and they also have Ousmane Dembele whom Manchester United have looked at in the past.
However, the Uruguayan's salary is exceedingly high for the club right now, even if you take into account the fact that Sergio Aguero is due to retire.
