Liverpool lead race for £90m Jude Bellingham with Erling Haaland saga boosting hopes
Liverpool have not been put off by a £90m price tag slapped on Jude Bellingham by Borussia Dortmund, and are making plans to bring him to Anfield next summer while their rivals focus on Erling Haaland
Liverpool are pushing ahead in their quest to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund with the Erling Haaland transfer saga boosting their hopes.
It was revealed in September that Jurgen Klopp had made England midfielder Bellingham his No.1 transfer target.
Dortmund are very eager to keep hold of the 18-year-old, but despite them pushing their asking price up to £90million as a result, the Reds are now making plans to bring him to Anfield, reports MirrorSport.
Klopp has not been put off by the Bundesliga club's estimation, which would make him Liverpool's record signing ahead of the £75m acquisition of Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool are looking to exploit the fact that their Premier League rivals Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea are focusing on Haaland.
The striker has a release clause activating next summer, and Dortmund are hopeful his team-mate Bellingham will stay in Germany.

The report notes that Bellingham's former side Birmingham City are monitoring the situation closely.
They included a lucrative sell-on fee in the deal to sell him in 2020.
Bellingham landed himself in hot water at the weekend after questioning the integrity of referee Felix Zwayer following Dortmund's 3-2 loss to Bayern Munich.

The defeat saw them fall four points behind in the title race after two penalty claims had been waved away by Zwayer.
Bellingham has been a regular fixture in the Dortmund team since joining the German club.
So far this season he has made 23 appearances in all competitions, registering three goals and eight assists.
He was part of the England squad that reached the final of Euro 2020 this summer and is expected to be instrumental to Gareth Southgate's crack at the World Cup in Qatar next winter.
