Eden Hazard could be about to end his Real Madrid nightmare - by making a cut-price Premier League return.

The Belgian superstar has been the shadow of the player that earned him a mammoth transfer to Los Blancos from Chelsea in 2019.

Injuries have plagued the winger, who has struggled for game time at the Bernabeu and is not favoured by new boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Hazard, 30, left Stamford Bridge two years as one of the world's best players but has failed to show any signs of the form that made him such a dangerous opponent, scoring just five times.

But Hazard's career could about to be saved amid Real's willingness to sell their flop at a low price.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Hazard has been told that he can leave the Spanish capital and he could be sold for just £21m.

The La Liga giants signed the forward at more than quadruple that price but would be willing to sanction a transfer at the low price given his staggering £416,000 per-week reported wages.

It is claimed Real would be happy to let Hazard leave on loan in January if a club agreed an an option to buy in the summer.

Anyhow, a return to the English top flight could beckon and West Ham and Everton are both clubs mentioned as possible suitors.

Newcastle could also flex their new financial muscles with the Saudi-backed Tyneside club also said to be keen on a statement transfer.

Hazard lifted two league titles in a glorious seven-year period at Chelsea but may be forced to move to a less dominant club to seal a return to England.

Current boss Ancelotti was open about Hazard when asked about his future in October.

"Never in my career as a coach have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave," he said.

"Hazard is ready, but his problem right now is that he has a coach who prefers other players, which can happen in a squad like this one."
