The star collapsed on the pitch during a game between Sheffield United and Reading. He received around 10 minutes care, and has since been rushed to hospital in worrying scenes
Sheffield United star John Fleck has been rushed to hospital after collapsing on the pitch.
He received 10 minutes of urgent medical care during a game against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
The Championship club tweeted: "Concerning moments as urgent medical attention needed for John Fleck.
"Play is yet to restart but the Scottish midfielder is on his feet and receiving further medical care.
"Fleck leaves the field on a stretcher after receiving urgent medical care.
"Our thoughts are with you, Flecky!"

Fleck collapsed to the ground midway through the second half as panicked teammates frantically gestured to the bench for medical assistance.
The 30-year-old was given oxygen before being taken from the pitch on a stretcher and placed in the back of an ambulance.
Both sets of supporters applauded him as he was rushed away, and Blades skipper Billy Sharp even ran over to help the paramedics with the stretcher.
Slaviša Jokanović when asked about John Fleck on post-match media duty, said: “He is in hospital, he is conscious and he asked for the result. Hopefully, he will be okay.” He is safe, in good hands and we pray that everything will be okay.”
United clung on to win 1-0, and shared a positive update after the final whistle:
"3 points for the Blades. More importantly, John Fleck was conscious when he left the stadium via the ambulance gate," the club tweeted.
"We’ll provide supporters with a further update once known.
"Get well soon, John."
Reading's official Twitter account also its support for Fleck.
"The very best wishes go to John. We wish him a swift and speedy recovery on behalf of everyone at Reading Football Club," the club tweeted during the second half.
The incident comes just a few months after Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen was involved in a similar incident during a match at Euro 2020.
The Inter Milan star suffered cardiac arrest during his nation's tie with Finland, and spent more than 20 minutes receiving treatment as his teammates formed a protective ring around him to keep the cameras off him.
