A married star from the Premier League has agreed to a paternity test over claims he fathered a love child.

The young girl is now 14 months old and her mother Jaqueline Sousa insists he is the biological dad.

The footballer is a household name from England’s top flight, according to The Sun, but cannot be named for legal reasons.

A court showdown is just days away, and following months of requests from lawyers being ignored, the player has now agreed to the test.

Letters were even sent directly to the defender’s club too in order to get his attention.

Brazilian hostess Jaqueline, 33, claims the international footballer invited her to his stag do and texted her while away on his honeymoon with his wife.

Ahead of the hearing set for November 10, Jaqueline told The Sun: “This same player is happy to portray himself as a family man.”

On the difficulties faced in getting the Premier League ace to front up, she added: “My legal team’s been asking him to take a test for almost a year.

"But he has constantly refused, saying he was too busy with training and he couldn’t travel because of Covid restrictions and quarantine.

“He’s finally surfaced after months of letters and requests, and got in touch with my lawyer — but still hasn’t been in touch to see his daughter.

“We haven’t bothered responding as now it’s too late and we will see him in court when the case goes before a judge.”
