Chelsea could set up a sensational reunion with Eden Hazard who has endured a tough time at Real Madrid.
Chelsea have been linked with a sensational Eden Hazard reunion just two years after the winger sealed a dream move to Real Madrid. The Belgian has been hampered by injuries throughout his stint at the Bernabeu, and although acquiring such an injury-prone player seems like a risk, the Blues have been down this road before. Express Sport takes a look at four players who enjoyed success by returning to Stamford Bridge.
Nemanja Matic
The Serb was in his early-twenties when Chelsea restricted him to just two league appearances during a two-year spell at the club.
It took the rangy midfielder a move to Benfica to finally show his worth, and after three seasons the Blues admitted their mistake and shelled out £21million for his return.
Two Premier League titles and a League Cup triumph later, Matic's homecoming was a resounding success.
His performances earned him a move to Manchester United in 2017, where he is still going strong in defensive midfield.

Didier Drogba
Between 2004 and 2012, the Ivorian was one of the most dominant strikers in the Premier League.
Having spearheaded the team during Jose Mourinho's golden era, Drogba claimed two Golden Boots, two league titles and a Champions League crown during his first spell.
After stints at Galatasaray and Shanghai Shenua, a 36-year-old Drogba came back to work with Mourinho once again in 2014.
Although the marksman was not as prolific this time, he still bagged seven goals in all competitions including a header at Old Trafford.
David Luiz
One thing the Brazilian cannot be faulted for is personality on the pitch, something he showed in abundance during his two separate three-year spells at Stamford Bridge.
With a lucrative move to PSG sandwiched inbetween, Luiz returned to west London in 2016 to immediately win his first Premier League title under Antonio Conte.
In becoming a key part of their defence and putting in some solid runs of form, the centre-back put his haphazard tendencies behind him for long spells.
Luiz's return to the Bridge was certainly a risky move, meaning there is promise for Hazard if he decides to tread the same path.

Romelu Lukaku
Although it is early days to determine whether Lukaku's return has been a success, things would have to go horribly wrong for it to be deemed as such.
The Belgian has notched four goals in eight games already since his £97million blockbuster move from Inter Milan this summer.
He looks even sharper than when he left the Premier League, and he certainly knew how to find the back of the net at that point too.
So far, it has been a stark contrast to his first spell with the club which ended with him being ushered out of the door by Mourinho with 15 goalless appearances to his name.
